Puppy groom FAQ
When can puppies get their first groom?
Most puppies can start gentle grooming around 8–10 weeks old, after their first round of vaccinations. Check with your vet if you're unsure.
What does a puppy first groom include?
A gentle introduction bath, light blow-dry at low heat, a quick nail trim, and lots of treats and positive reinforcement. We don't do full haircuts on the first visit — the goal is making grooming feel safe and fun.
Why is early grooming important?
Dogs who are introduced to grooming early tend to be much calmer on the table for life. Avoiding the groomer until they're 6 months old makes the first visit much harder for everyone — including the dog.
